Band 3 Business Support to LAC Service within CPMS

We are looking for a well organised and highly motivated full-time Business Support to join our Paediatric Medical Service and in particular supporting the Looked After Children (LAC) and Child Protection (CP) teams.

Our Paediatric Medical Service have a team of clinicians working in various venues across Southampton City and New Forest who deliver a comprehensive support to our families. We are looking for someone who is passionate about customer / patient experience with a ‘can do’ attitude. The role requires liaison with outside services such as Social Services and The Police. The work in the Service is very wide and varied and you can be subject to some very sensitive and in some cases distressing information. Therefore, ensuring confidentiality at all times is essential together with being resilient and having a very calm and empathetic nature.

The successful applicant will be:

  • a good team player who can work both effectively as part of a team and on their own

  • able to use own initiative and apply a commonsense approach to problems

  • have a meticulous eye for detail, an enquiring mind and a willingness to learn

  • strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • be organised, able to multi-task, work under pressure and prioritise own workload

  • proven skills in Microsoft applications, Excel, Word and Outlook

The role is full-time 37.5 hours per week and for a fixed term of 12 months. Having use of a car is preferable if needing to support a clinic not at your base.
