We are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Worker, working 37.5 hours per week in our Havant service. This is a fixed term contract from 1st of April 2021 for 12 months. There will be regular evening and weekend working involved. The suitable candidate will have previous experience of working in substance misuse service and a good understanding of caseload management and support needs of clients accessing a community service.
The job mainly includes caseload management, active recovery planning and risk management, conducting initial needs assessments, supporting clients through partnership working, safeguarding adults and children, liaison with key professionals, onward referrals to partnership agencies, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role also requires a good understanding of the effects of substances and harm minimisation. Caseloads vary but would include a mixture of clients with varying presenting needs, some on substitute prescriptions. The preferred candidate will also be confident in delivering workshops.
