An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the clinical team at the MSK service based in Huddersfield. The role would suit an experienced ESP looking for a new challenge or a senior MSK Physiotherapist looking to take the next step in their career.


You will be joining a team which consists of a GPSI, Extended Scope Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and First contact Physiotherapists, alongside a dedicated admin team. You will be responsible for your own clinical caseload of patients with complex musculoskeletal pathology that traditionally would have been referred to secondary care services. Utilising advanced assessment and clinical reasoning skills you will provide patients with an explanationtheir condition, its prognosis and present them with the options for its management. You will be responsible for referring for patients for diagnostic tests and for surgical opinions to maximise conversion to surgery.


The service also delivers joint and soft tissue injections and point of care ultrasound imaging. The successful candidate should therefore already possess an injection therapy qualification or currently be studying towards one. We actively support CPD and appropriate clinical supervision will be given to enable you to acquire new skills as part of the role. You will also act as an expert resource for GPs, advanced nurse practitioners and Physiotherapists and actively be involved in pathway design and clinical audit.
