24/7 shift patteren, Band 5 Biomedical Scientist, Virology:

We are seeking a proactive, motivated, enthusiastic Band 5 Biomedical Scientists (BMS) to work in the Virology section of the Infection Sciences Department at Kings College Hospital. The successful candidate would be expected to hold, or are within 3 months of completing their HCPC State Registration as a BMS, and have experience in Virology and undergo IBMS Specialist Portfolio training in Virology. We are also willing to consider candidates who are about to complete their HCPC registration within the next 3 months.

The post holder would be expected to join a team that works an average 37.5 hours/week and be prepared to work as part of 24/7 rota

The Virology department consists of two sections; serology and molecular. King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with a unique profile of strong local services and a focused set of specialist services. King’s has a Foetal Medicine Unit, Liver Transplant Unit and a large Obstetric department, is South East England’s largest Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, and is one of four designated Major Trauma Centre’s in London. Over the last 170 years, King’s has delivered nothing but world class service to all its patients from deprived communities as well as some of the wealthiest in London.
