An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Health Visiting team as a Community Health Nurse (CHN) in Solent NHS Trust. If you are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and ensuring they meet their full potential, then this role could be perfect for you.
As a CHN, you will be instrumental in the delivery of high-quality care. This role will draw on your knowledge and skills to ensure the best outcomes are achieved and deliver care to children and families at the right time and in the right place.
To be successful in this rewarding and innovative role, we are looking for qualified nurses (from all parts of the NMC register).
You will work primarily with pre- birth to 5 years and their families, alongside experienced Health Visitors to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009). The Healthy Child Programme is an evidence-based programme that focuses on supporting children and families with screening, immunisation, health and development reviews, supplemented by advice around health, wellbeing and parenting.
Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be passionate about public health, show professional resilience and be creative and flexible in their approach.

If successful you will be supported through a specially developed training programme with skilled support and guidance from the health visiting team.
