The Solent NHS Trust are looking to recruit aSpecialist Contracts Manager and Commercial Lead to join their Commercial Team! This is a key Commercial role within the Trust, so applicants must be able to demonstrate they have the commercial capacity and capability to effectively Contract Management and support the delivery of the IT Future Model to ensure the IT provision can respond to future demands and developments that can occur within the IT environment.

In the post, you can expect to undertake the following tasks;

  • Supporting IT through its transformation programme and implementation of the IT Future Operating Model therefore it requires expert knowledge of I.T contract and supplier relationship management.
  • To oversee the IT Category spend/income and will take a category management approach to assessment and management of activity/spend within the I.T category.
  • Leading the development and successful delivery of procurements to support the IT Future Operating Model including the supporting in the exit of suppliers and mobilisation of new suppliers and the transfer of services to the new supplier. A key part of this work will be ensuring that tenders are compliant with current legislation and any interventions/approvals that may need to be included/sought from local, regional and national organisations and managing any risks, mitigation and reporting issues to the relevant internal stakeholders.

 

Applicants must be able to understand complex specifications and data requirements needed with the IT environment and be able react quickly to market changes. As well as this. applicants must able to demonstrate procurement and contract management experience in IT as a specialism. This experience should include development of complex procurement documents and an understanding of Terms and Conditions of Contracts for IT.
