Lead Crisis Worker

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sexual Assault Referral Centre Team on a fixed term basis of 9/12 months. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week).

The post holder will be based at the Truro Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) within opening hours, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. They will provide the initial support to individuals who have recently been victims of rape and sexual assault within the context of a non-judgemental and confidential service. The post holder will provide initial support, crisis management and onward referrals for patients that attend the Centre for a forensic medical examination. The post holder will be required to provide ‘out of hours’ telephone advice to members of the public on a rota basis with colleagues. The post holder will be required to manage the ‘Hub’ inbox and triage referrals to the appropriate professional for action.
