Senior Community Nurse – Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Job Reference: 083-SIR1430

Sirona care and health CIC
Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
South Bristol Community Hospital
£31,365 - £37,890 pro rata

We are Sirona care & health, a Community Interest Company committed to providing local communities with a range of high quality specialist health and social care services across South Gloucestershire, parts of Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset. For us, it’s about the personal approach; we take pride in what we do and deliver the high standard of care that we’d expect for ourselves and our families.

In return we offer an excellent range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, paid enhancements for bank holiday/night working (where applicable), a contributory pension scheme (including, for some roles, the NHS pension scheme), a planned induction program, extensive learning and development opportunities, health and wellbeing programmes, flexible working patterns, staff excellence awards, in-house physiotherapy support and more!

Are you a nurse looking for a new challenge, including opportunities to build on existing operational and clinical skills?

Do you have an innovative and solution-focussed approach to healthcare?

Would you like to work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team?

We are excited to be able to start to recruit additional staff to enhance and develop the Rehabilitation Units at South Bristol Community Hospital. We are passionate about rehabilitation and the ability to empower patients to regain their health and independence following illness or injury. We recognise and value the importance of a strong, innovative and dynamic workforce to support us to achieve our goal of creating a centre of excellence for Rehab in BNSSG.

If you can demonstrate your experience of urgent care and treating long-term conditions, including stroke rehabilitation, then this role in South Bristol Community Hospital may well be for you.

This is a great time to be joining Sirona. In 2020 we started a 10-year contract to deliver community healthcare across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire – the largest community healthcare contract ever awarded in the country.

From April 2021 we are continuing our expansion by taking on the provision of care for service users at the 60 bed unit at South Bristol Community Hospital in Hengrove.
And this is where you come in.

We are looking for nurses to support our Advanced Clinical Practitioner in the clinical management of service users who have been recently discharged from an acute hospital setting who are undertaking period of rehabilitation in order to return to their usual place of residence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to be part of our exciting new model of care from the beginning. You will be working within a supportive environment, where we are committed to our ongoing clinical development, education and further study. There are development opportunities or the right person, including the opportunity to progress within the Advanced Practice field.

Our organisation is based in and around the vibrant city of Bristol, one of the most desirable places to live in the UK. A short drive from the city is beautiful rolling countryside and lovely beaches.

If you want to build a career within a community healthcare provider with lots of development opportunities, Sirona is a great place to do this – for example there is an opportunity for this role to be a rotational post into the community setting, if that is a path you wish to follow.
