Full Time Band 5 Occupational Therapist. Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.

An exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist has become available in the Eastbourne Assessment and Treatment Service; a community based mental health service for adults with complex mental health needs across the Eastbourne, Seaford & Hailsham area.
You will be working in a busy multidisciplinary service alongside our existing Band 7 and 6 OTs. You will manage your own caseload providing Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment. The team works with a Recovery Approach and has an active Recovery College where our staff work with Peer Trainers to deliver a varied programme of courses, as well as internal group therapy which is facilitated within the local team.

The post is based at St Mary’s House in Eastbourne, there is however, aspects of the role which does involve being able to travel across the area. This is a full time post, however we encourage staff who are also looking for a job share/ flexible working or part time post to apply.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with this client group. This post would suit experienced staff as well as newly qualified OT’s.
The successful applicant will be supported by a strong professional leadership structure with regular OT clinical supervision and peer support. You will also be supported in working with other team members in the provision of triage, team assessments and duty. We will encourage you to complete regular training and help you to gain both generic and OT professional skills. We are committed to taking OT students on placements so there would be opportunities to support students.
