At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust we have lots to be proud of:

You would be involved in providing core services which could include refraction of children and adults, medical contact lenses and low vision assessment, plus biometry prior to cataract surgery.

This demonstrates some of the possible further career opportunities for an optometrist working with us, should an opportunity arise in the future.
The ideal candidate will have a background in hospital optometry, but it is not essential and training will be given as required. However, a genuine interest and commitment to hospital optometry is a strict requirement!
Optometry services are provided at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, and Wycombe and Amersham hospitals. You may be required to work at any of the sites, so use of your own car is essential. Travel expenses between sites are refunded.
