We have a new 3 month placement for a Porter at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Eaton Road, Liverpool (L12 2AP) with the Theatre department  

Working Pattern        3 week rota pattern Rota Monday-Sunday. Shifts will range between 7am-8:30pm on weekdays and 9am-4pm weekends

Pay rate / band          Band 2 - the hourly pay is £9.21 an hour.

Duties will include

• The role includes collecting truck full of surgical instrument trays / instruments from lower floor delivery bay to theatres.

• Unloading and scanning surgical instrument trays and individual instruments on to a trolley then distributing to the correct instrument store room, there are 3 instrument store rooms within the theatre department.

• Cleaning of the instrument store rooms, checking expiry dates and rotating trays.

• Collecting used trays from each dirty sluice after use in theatres and scanning out of trays for collection so the trays / induvial instruments can be reprocessed at an off-site sterile services unit.

• Collection of theatre rubbish bags from sluice to the waste bins.
