A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised Project Manager to join the Group Informatics Programme team at Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT) and be part of one of the largest Acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff. Group Informatics respond quickly and flexibly to the demands of the wider organisation, ensuring that we provide multiple services fit for purpose, whilst evolving our capability and tools to deliver an ambitious digital transformation change programme for the future.

This is a 1 year fixed term position based at, and working closely with, the NW NHS Genomics Laboratory Hub (NW GLH) Manchester site at St Mary’s Hospital. The NW GLH is one of 7 GLHs recently created as part of a national reorganisation to provide a national genomic medicine service. It is a highly regarded, CPA accredited, NHS clinical service provider of Genomics to a population of 7.2 million people in the North West of England as well as a wide range of national and international specialist referrals. The NW GLH is currently undergoing a significant transformational change program and is in the process of implementing a Whole Genome Sequencing service as well as multiple ancillary projects to support the national genomics service reorganisation.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity where you will be able to obtain and demonstrate extensive project management experience and skill. Flexible, committed and approachable, you will possess solid communications and interpersonal skills and have a calm head under pressure. With a good eye for detail, you will be able to confidently deal with competing priorities, emerging issues and differing viewpoints.
