Emergency Department - Patient Flow Co-ordinator - Full-time

We invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Patient Flow Co-ordinator in the dynamic Emergency Department team.

The role will involve continuing the good work we have started of collaborative multidisciplinary team working to ensure good communication from admission to discharge/ transfer. You will be working alongside the Nurse in Charge of the Department to ensure the efficient running of the Department. It will require you to understand all the varied processes involved in the transfer or discharge from hospital to a variety of destinations and effectively communicate those options available to patients, relatives and other staff members. The role requires an ability to prioritise and to be a person who enjoys team working.

We practice a holistic “What matters to me” approach, that looks at people as a whole and the role would suit someone that notices that “little things matter” and can find a way to coordinate and communicate all these issues.

The roles covers a 24 hour period. You would be required to work shifts and this comprises of: 07.15 – 19.45 long days and 19.15 – 07.45 night shift. The shifts are 11.5 hours.
