We have an exciting fixed term contract role for a Trust Grade Junior Doctor in our Drug and Alcohol service, available to commence from 3rd February 2021 until 3rd August 2021.

Training in psychiatry is the first step for doctors who are enthusiastic to become the Consultant Psychiatrists of the future and who can demonstrate the essential competencies to enter this level of training.

Once in post, as a Trust, we support your training as a priority and in this post you will be given the same training opportunities as trainees appointed through Health Education East Midlands.

The post holder will be supported in maintaining a training portfolio and will work alongside other trainees.

This post is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, plus out of hours 24/7 rota commitments on a 1:20 rota.

To be considered for this post you will need to have some training experience in psychiatry, excellent communication skills, hold full GMC registration without conditions and a license to practice at the time of appointment.

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.

We are obliged to check employment history for at least the past 3 years for successful candidates. Please ensure that the referees you provide us cover at least the past 3 years of your employment/training.
