As well as this we are an accredited cancer centre and provide cancer services to a wider population of Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Volunteer Services Team as Deputy Head of Volunteering to help us increase our services and drive forward change.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the volunteer services office to ensure the needs of the trust are met and volunteers are supported and placed in suitable roles. With the ability to work well under pressure you will have experience with dealing with distressing situations and manage a large number of volunteers.

You will be working with a small committed team of staff and support the Head of Volunteer Services with the delivery and development of voluntary services at a strategic level.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a voluntary/charitably sector, have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing a high quality volunteering service.

Northampton General Hospital has well-established volunteer services with approximately 450 volunteers ranging from 16 years old to 90 and continues to grow. Working closely with both clinical and non-clinical services across the trust our volunteers offer a variety of support to both patients and staff in a variety of roles.
