The Clinical management group works across all 3 sites and is made up of Intensive Care, Theatres, Anaesthetics, Pain and Sleep.

ABOUT THE ROLE

HEAD OF NURSING:

As Head of Nursing, you will be a highly visible presence accountable to the Chief Nurse and CMG Clinical Director. Your focus will be to ensure the provision of high quality, evidence based, responsive services that hold the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery.

Duties also include:

  • Leading alongside the Deputy Clinical Director for the CMG the quality, safety and risk agendas
  • Being the voice for all the non-medical professional groups at a CMG Executive Level
  • Leading on developments and innovation in nursing and practice standards
  • Leading and supporting change within the CMG and the wider organisation.
  • Leading on developing standards using governance frameworks for patient and public involvement, triangulation of patient feedback, audit, education, policies and guidelines, safeguarding and infection prevention
  • Working within the financial framework while leading the continual review of standards in clinical practice

As a core member of the CMG triumvirate, you will lead on the achievement of strategic plans and projects whilst ensuring that the CMG meets agreed targets within the available resources.

You will need to be an inspiring and motivated nurse, committed to the delivery of high standards of compassionate care and with the ability to challenge and influence practice. You will be a champion of the registered and alternative professions and challenge the status quo of healthcare delivery.

You will need to have experience of leading nursing and clinical services as well as a proven track record putting safety, quality and patient experience at the heart of all you do.
