We are an integrated hospital and community services healthcare organisation serving around 400,000 people in Hartlepool, Stockton and parts of County Durham. We also provide bowel and breast screening services and a number of community based services to a wider population in Teesside and Durham.

Our turnover is around £275m and we employ a number of medical, nursing, clinical and non-clinical support staff totalling approximately 5,500 people.

We operate our services from two main hospital sites, University Hospital of North Tees and University Hospital of Hartlepool.

The University Hospital of North Tees provides emergency and planned medical and surgical care, maternity services and a wide range of diagnostic services and outpatient clinics

The University Hospital of Hartlepool provides patients with a wide range of diagnostic services and outpatient clinics, day case and low risk surgery

We also run services from various other sites across the local area including Lawson Street (Stockton), One Life Centre (Hartlepool) and Peterlee Community Hospital.


The North Tees and Hartlepool Foundation Trust has an exciting new opportunity for a band 4 Nursing Associate (with relevant NMC registration).

The focus of these posts will be to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and actively participate in the assessment and support of frail elderly people in community settings.

We are looking for Nursing Associate to provide compassionate and comprehensive supportive care to patients referred for management and support. Candidates will be responsible for planning and delivering care as part of a structured multidisciplinary service, utilising multiple methods of service delivery using both direct and indirect methods.

Experience of Community nursing would be an advantage, but is not essential.

The hours of work will be on a shift rota between 08.00 – 20.00hrs over seven days a week.

The Trust offers a fully supported induction programme, annual appraisal and personal development plans. We also offer access to a variety of in house education and training programmes and University courses that will meet the service needs.

The ability to travel in the community is essential.
