NAViGO Health and Social Care CIC provide health and social care services to a population of 158,000 in North East Lincolnshire. We are a friendly and caring organisation that welcomes those from all backgrounds to join our team. We offer the NHS pension and contractual benefits such as generous annual leave and sick pay as well as a multitude of discounts and benefits. We are a progressive and ambitious organisation that aims to support those living with a mental health illness, their carers and families in the simplest and most effective ways. NAViGO covers a full range of mental health services, from Adults to Older Peoples, both as inpatients and in the community. We have an Eating Disorder Unit; we cover Early Intervention and other specialist services. We are different because we know working with the same methods doesn’t work forever; and we will continue to challenge the way we do things to create the best services that are centred on the people who use them.
Working together across Humber, Coast and Vale
We’re growing and improving our services year on year; which means we also have to work hard at finding new ways to make our service sustainable. This social enterprise is about working together with local people to create services that are owned by the community, supported by it and loyal to it. It’s challenging, it’s exciting and we want like-minded people to join us. If you think that’s you, take a look at the job specification.
The agreed job plan for this post is 10pa’s, however NAViGO recognise the time that a new appointee will commit to establishing themselves within the organisation by awarding 1 additional Supporting Activity. This post will be paid at 11’s PA in total.
We need someone special…
Our Community Mental Health Services for Older Adults are innovative and award winning. Alongside traditional CPA Care Coordinated services we offer a wide range of radical and arguably unconventional services that truly focus on Holistic Mental Health Care and we see our primary objective as providing bespoke and tailor-made outcome focused care packages for Severe Mental Illness sufferers and their families under our ‘making the pieces fit’ approach. We are developing industry leading secondary care services that assess physical health care, lifestyle and social wellbeing as well as providing core interventions to support mental health improvement for severe and complex mental health needs. Through working in close partnership with primary care, commissioners and other key providers we are already achieving significantly improved outcomes for our service users in comparison with other trusts in the country. These are also exciting times in the evolution of community services as our CMHT’S reflect a platform of specialism and advanced practice in which our Specialty doctors are a key element.
Whilst enjoying the benefits of terms and conditions matching those of the NHS, including the NHS Pension, there are many advantages of working for a social enterprise. With significant input from our staff and the users of our service into the key decisions about our organisation we are able to ensure that our resources are used to best advantage and wherever possible re-invested to expand our services. Keeping our management structure lean and pro-active enables us to put our resources where they are most needed.
In order to achieve the skills necessary skills for career development you may be required to rotate into the Adult Community Team which would be discussed and agreed as part of the job planning process.
