Nurse/Manager SARC Adult Services

This is an exciting new opportunity to join Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) Team working 30 hours per week.

The SARC provides a wraparound service for people who have experienced rape and sexual assault, including forensic medical examinations and aftercare following recent sexual assault. The post holder will join a small team spread across two counties. They will work closely with the Service Manager and be responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of the Adult SARC services across Devon and Cornwall. In conjunction with the SARC Managers and Clinical Leads, ensuring that all local and national quality standards and key performance indicators are delivered.

They will manage and lead a team of crisis workers and may be required to perform crisis worker duties as necessary. The post holder will work as part of the multi-agency team that includes the police, criminal justice agencies, contracted medical agencies, mental health services, social services, voluntary agencies and other health agencies. The post holder will respond to daily problems and ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner across the three sites Exeter, Plymouth and Truro. They will ensure that facilities and other resources are available to meet service need, raising any capacity issues with SARC managers and Clinical leads. They will work as part of a team to implement longer term solutions to issues identified as required and provide a high standard of individualised care and advice to patients who have experienced a form of sexual assault.
