The Medicines Management team contributes to the Trust’s approach to facilitate the delivery of high quality, age appropriate, person and family centred services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week within the community and in-patient settings.

An opportunity has arisen to join this committed and friendly pharmacy team. The post is a new development to deliver a comprehensive medicines management service across the Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to work in a supportive and dynamic environment. You should be able to work independently as well as integrate within a team.

The successful applicant will have a passion for delivering an outstanding service that brings the 6 Cs (care, compassion, commitment, courage, communication and competence) to life.

The post holder will contribute to the Medicines Management service within the Trust, including:-

  • The delivery of medicines management services in the organisation.
  • Undertake relevant training to maintain competencies and further develop knowledge to meet the needs of this post.
  • To assist in the provision of a high quality pharmacy service to patients of the Trust.
  • Assist with the receipt and storage of goods on the wards and departments across the Trust
  • To assist the technical and professional staff in the day-to-day running of the team
  • The post holder will be required to undertake duties at any location within the Trust in order to meet the service needs.
  • NHS experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given

IMPORTANT: The role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust catchment area. Therefore, the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.

This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £47.50, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
