An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South Western Ambulance Service as the Trust’s Patient Engagement Lead.


The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the ongoing delivery of the Trust’s program of patient and public engagement, will be passionate about improving the patient and family experience of pre-hospital services, and can evidence drive and enthusiasm to support the patient, carer, and public involvement agenda.


The successful applicant will be able to effectively use patient and public feedback to drive improvements in care, and will be particularly focussed on engaging with groups and communities whose opinions may not be routinely heard by the NHS. Excellent people skills are essential and you should be able to manage difficult situations with sensitivity and compassion.


The successful applicant will be responsible for managing their own portfolio and will work closely with both colleagues across the Trust and stakeholders in the wider health and social care arena by driving and fostering a culture of timely patient and public feedback.


You will ideally have previous experience in this field and have an understanding of the NHS.


This opportunity is for a fixed period of 12 months and a secondment will be considered for the right candidate.
