An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual with a proven track record of success in managing teams and providing inspirational leadership in a complex, changing environment, to support the Clinical Research Network East Midlands in delivering the local portfolio of studies within Divisions 1 and 3. The post holder will be responsible for managing clinical research delivery in All Cancer specialties, Palliative and Supportive Care, Reproductive Health and Childbirth, Children, Genetics and Non Malignant Haematology.

The post holders will be responsible for the day to day management of the divisions and will be the primary operational enabler for NIHR research delivery across a number of clinical specialties and divisions, actively managing and managing performance against national objectives.

In the delivery of this role the post holders will also lead on key projects and initiatives, manage and support various strands of cross divisional work, thus will need experience and knowledge of national systems, structures and processes for supporting clinical research in the NHS and have a good understanding of governance and legislative frameworks for clinical trials, including GCP. In addition the post holders should have a good understanding of performance management techniques and experience.

Candidates must also have excellent IT skills ideally including use of the Google Suite and be proficient in the use of databases. This role will involve regular travel to all Partner Organisations across the East Midlands. The role is available as either part time or full time with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.
