We are recruiting for our well established Forensic Autism Psychiatric and Learning Disability Service to meet the clinical needs of adults with LD and Autism who enact serious violent crime. The heart of our service is our multidisciplinary team of dedicated specialist clinicians that integrates knowledge and skills for LD, autism, psychiatry and forensics to provide outstanding care and treatment for our patients. Our research interests mirror this and we actively encourage our team members to pursue research interests at the intersection of autism and forensic psychiatry to improve our clinical outcomes. Your research interests may build upon on our current national and international collaborations.

Hawkins Ward

A specialist medium secure service for men with a learning disability and forensic and complex behaviour.

With a therapy ethos based on Positive Behavioural Support, Hawkins unit provides assessment, stabilisation and treatment for highly complex men who require a medium secure environment.

Supporting the Transforming Care agenda, we treat patients with dignity and respect, taking into account their personal, diverse needs. Care is delivered in the most suitable and least restrictive environment to address clinical needs and risk.

We are looking for a confident, passionate individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of the individuals we support who have histories of offending and other risk behaviours.

As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating patient care by coordinating, delegating and supervising the care provided at the clinical level. You will be central to leading a team of clinicians to deliver person centred clinical care in secure care settings. This division is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and has a holistic to patient centred approach care and treatment.
