An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Infectious Diseases department, for a Band 6 Specialist Nurse to join the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) expanding clinical team. We are seeking for an enthusiastic individual who will assist UHL in promoting patient- centred, individualised care, including training patients and families to administer their own treatment at home. The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary clinical team, and contribute to the development of the service across the Trust.

To be successful you must be a fully registered Nurse with three years post-registration experience including three years at a Band 5 level. You must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills with staff members and patients and their families, and possess the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
