An opportunity has arisen for two Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Service. The vacancies are at the Becton Centre for Children and Young People.

The successful applicant will be working with a team of Mental Health Nurses, Doctors, Psychologists and other Allied Health Professionals to provide assessment, individual therapy and group interventions.

We have 2 vacancies at the Becton Centre the first vacancy is on Emerald Lodge, which is a 9 bedded unit for young people aged up to 13 years who have a range of complex mental health needs. This vacancy is 0.8 WTE.

The second vacancy is on Sapphire Lodge which is an inpatient unit that caters for young people who are experiencing complex mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Sapphire Lodge’s age range covers 13- 18 years. The unit has 14 inpatient beds. This vacancy is 1 WTE and is for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The Lodge team comprises of an MDT including medics, nurses, health care support workers, psychologists, therapists, teachers, admin and support services who are committed to continued development and providing high quality care for young people and families.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
