We are seeking to recruit a Clinical Psychologist to support the ongoing development and delivery of CAMHS in-reach to Sheffield schools and the development of our new Mental Health Support Team offer. The person appointed will work with the Healthy Minds lead to support the mental health needs of schools across Sheffield.

Key tasks will include: clinical supervision to Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Assistant Psychologists; providing expert advice to local schools on mental health issues; supporting the Designated Mental Health Lead within school; consultation, triage and assessment to best meet the mental health needs of individual children and young people; development and delivery of bespoke Healthy Minds training for children and young people, parents / carers and staff; service evaluation; facilitating reflective practice sessions for the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and school staff; analysis of survey data and report writing, supporting the development and delivery of Healthy Minds champions, developing whole school approaches for emotional wellbeing and specific interventions both within early intervention and prevention and trauma informed practice.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative project focused on early intervention and prevention and school-based trauma informed care within child and adolescent mental health services. We are looking for a candidate with experience in working within child and adolescent mental health services, multi-agency working, excellent teaching and clinical supervision skills and preferably some experience of working with schools.

Well established support and supervision will be provided, and further professional development is actively encouraged and supported. The post will provide a wide range of experience and allow the candidate to further develop transferable skills. Successful candidates will be expected to complete the PG Certificate in Clinical Supervision offered by the University of Sheffield.

Professionally you will join a well-established and innovative CAMHS service which provides regional and national specialist services through direct patient care, consultation and supervision. You will be supported by a substantial professional group including over 40 clinical child psychologists, systemic family therapists and child psychotherapists working within the hospital and community context.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
