COVID-19 Vaccination Programme Registered Health Care Professional (RHCP)

With clinical trials progressing well we are preparing to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to millions of at-risk people across the country as soon as they are approved by the MHRA, the official UK regulator.

And with the recent Department for Health and Social Care consultation on temporary changes to legislation we can allow a wider group of staff to vaccinate with appropriate training.

To prepare, we are looking for registered NHS colleagues to work in Bath, Swindon and Salisbury areas of Wiltshire, who are willing to take on a role and who are willing to be trained to once again put themselves forward to lend a hand. You could be a Nurse, Pharmacist, Occupational Health practitioner or other registered healthcare professional.

You will work through the RUH bank various location in the Bath, Swindon and Salisbury areas of Wiltshire.

As a COVID-19 Registered Health Care Professional you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting pre-vaccination clinical assessments.
  • Reviewing patient medical histories and any potential adverse reactions.
  • Preparing the vaccine prior to administration by using aseptic technique.
  • Dilution and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials.
  • Setting up the vaccination station.
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to policies and procedures.

We are looking to recruit from our local communities to enable us to provide a safe and effective vaccination programme while continuing to offer timely access and minimal impact on other NHS services.

You will be working at placements at various location in the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire areas.

We offer bank shifts so you can work as and when required, with flexibility to choose which shifts suit you.

Generous rates of pay from £14.28 p/hr (inc holidayenhancement) to £30.08 p/hr on Sundays (inc holiday enhancement.)
