HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT

Agenda for Change -Salary up to £19,337 per annum

Various hours available up to and including 37.5 hours per week, to be worked on a rota basis to include weekends, bank holidays, evenings/nights

About us:

For over four decades Mountbatten Hampshire have provided outstanding palliative care to its community and its services have made a huge impact on many families lives across Hampshire.

To achieve our goal to support more patients we need to establish our own specialist Bank for Health Care Assistants to support our outstanding teams who work across all our service provisions.

About the role:

To support the trained nursing staff in the provision of clinical care to the patients in the Inpatient Unit. To complete housekeeping and clerical tasks e.g. preparation of drinks, breakfasts, completion of menus etc. on a daily basis as required.

About you:

You must hold or be willing to study for your NVQ level 2 in health care or equivalent.

You must have good communication skills to explain complex and sensitive information effectively in both written and oral to both patients, families, carers and other professionals

You must possess IT Skills including Microsoft and email applications

To be flexible in covering shifts at short notice.
