Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust
St Leonard's Hospital Nuttall St, London N1 5LZ, London
£29,888 - £36,738 p.a. inc. pro rata

Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a high performing and flourishing organisation serving the population of Hackney, East London, The City and beyond.

We are extremely proud of the fact that Homerton Hospital has recently attained the highest possible rating of "Outstanding" from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This includes an "Outstanding" rating for our Urgent and Emergency Services.

Our integrated Trust provides comprehensive hospital and community health services for its local population and a range of specialist services for a wider group of patients. These specialist services include obstetrics, neonatology, foetal medicine, fertility, neuro-rehabilitation, bariatric surgery, and asthma and allergy services.

The trust is an active partner in bringing different services together across City and Hackney to provide integrated care closer to home.

Homerton has a proud tradition of supporting and developing its staff, including its well regarded and valued nursing community, and all staff are able to take advantage of a great range of benefits.

Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is proud to have been included on the HSJ and Nursing Times Best Places to Work list, and has recently achieved 'Excellence' status in the Healthy Workplace Charter, as awarded by the Greater London Authority.

The Role

Become part of the Employment Advisors in IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) initiative which will inform future roll-out decision making across all IAPT services.

IAPT is an NHS programme in England that offers evidence-based treatment to people with common mental health problems - such as depression and anxiety. The Employment Advisors (EA) in IAPT programme provide skills-based interventions, information and practical support to help people receiving IAPT services to remain in, return to, and find work.

Talk Changes (City & Hackney IAPT) are recruiting for an Employment Advisor to help deliver employment support to patients accessing the Talk Changes therapy services. The role will involve working closely with IAPT clinicians, external services and employers when managing a caseload of clients with their employment needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large and dynamic IAPT service working in a stimulating and unique inner London setting. Hackney is a particularly diverse borough, even within London, and this is reflected in the range of people that they see and the problems that they treat. You will be joining a large team of clinical and counselling psychologists, CBT therapists and psychological wellbeing practitioners. They are part of Homerton University Hospital and have strong links with local GPs, secondary care mental health services and voluntary sector providers as part of the City and Hackney Psychological Therapies Alliance.

The post holder would be based at St Leonard’s Hospital but may also be expected to travel borough-wide to offer clinics at other locations.

The vacancy may be closed early if we receive a high number of applications.

Interviews are expected to be held on Tuesday the 5th and Wednesday the 6th of January.
