Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed in October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.

Job Title - Deputy Facilities Manager

Base - Charlton Lane Hospital

Salary - £21,892 to £24,157 per annum (Band 4)

Hours per week - 37.5

We are currently looking for a Deputy Facilities Manager to join our friendly team within the Cheltenham Locality.

Based at Charlton Lane you will have responsibility for supporting the Facilities Manager in providing Facilities services in inpatient and outpatient units which provide both physical and mental health care across the locality.

The role will include ensuring that the cleanliness and food provision maintain the high standards necessary to achieve compliance. Our priority is our patients and staff and the provision of up to date care and facilities is paramount to us. As the Deputy Facilities Manager you will manage the day to day operations involving Housekeeping, Porters and catering teams.

The core hours for this role are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday although flexibility will be necessary where appropriate as the Facilities Team provide a seven day service from 7am until 8pm. The ability to travel throughout the county to attend relevant meetings and visit sites is essential.

The post holder will be highly motivated and have the ability to work under pressure with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in working within Facilities or a similar environment. They will have knowledge of Food Hygiene regulations and NHS Cleanliness Standards.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
