Senior Commissioning Manager – Children’s Complex Needs

Surrey Heartlands CCG are seeking an experienced senior commissioner to join our Children and Young People and Learning Disabilities Commissioning Team. The role will have a pivotal part to play in shaping and delivering services for children with complex needs across the County.

The role will support the transformational programmes associated with the management of children with complex conditions. Ensuring children’s needs are understood and at the centre of decision making. Providing leadership and capacity to a team delivering Surrey’s Children Continuing Care function, alongside support for commissioning performance management of local community health services that are related to children with complex needs and special educational needs. Additionally contributing to the wider SEND improvement programme.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate clear knowledge, understanding and achievement in this area. They may or may not be clinically trained but should have an understanding of children’s health services and the wider context for families of children with more complex needs. This can be offered as a secondment opportunity.

The team is a dedicated function that works across Surrey and is currently moving to an integrated service with County Council colleagues. This is an exciting time to be part of and shape this direction of travel across an interesting and varied portfolio.
