Community Nurse

Job Reference: 415-S20-468

Employer:
Northern Devon Healthcare Trust
Department:
Community
Location:
South Molton/Chulmleigh
Salary:
£24,907 - £30,615 per annum pro rota

We are seeking a full time (37.5 hrs per week) registered nurse to join our Community nursing team at South Molton and Chulmleigh on a permanent basis.

We are a friendly team and are proud to keep our patient’s safe and as independent as possible working together and being supported by the larger Health and Social Care Team.

The role involves visiting patients in their own homes and also in our award winning leg clinics.

Community nursing is diverse and ever changing and you will be encouraged to develop specialist knowledge in new areas such as wound care, end of life care, long term condition monitoring and catheter care to name but a few.

You will be supported to work autonomously and to develop your skills and knowledge and will play a role in the delivery of high quality compassionate care to our patients.

You will be given an individualised induction depending on your previous experience and what we ask of you is to be committed to giving holistic evidenced based care to our patients.

NDHT is a special place that fosters creativity, innovation and a very personal approach to patient care. We favour short lines of communication and multi-disciplinary teams that will enable you to work at the top of your registration and with the reassurance that your patients are well cared for.

If you would like some more information about this exciting opportunity then please contact Allison Walters by email on a.walters1@nhs.net or on 07805815448.

Our values guide everything we do. At all times, we aim to:

  • Demonstrate compassion
  • Strive for excellence
  • Respect diversity
  • Act with integrity
  • Listen and support others

Our teams of care professionals work with patients and their families to support peoples’ independence, health and wellbeing. We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.

In our most recent staff survey, our staff voted us in the top 10% of NHS provider organisations to work for and we also came out as the top provider in the South West for our overall results. Our patients (through the Friends and Family Test) regularly report an average of over 95% satisfaction with our services.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. For further information and to self-assess the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship, please visit the UK Border Agency website. Note: we will be unable to obtain Tier 2 sponsorship for Bank positions.

Please note that we may close this vacancy early if we receive a high volume of applicants.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
