Our physical healthcare services include intermediate care services in Ealing as part of the Community Independence Service partnership.

Our national, specialist and forensic services include:

  • Medium secure services on the St Bernard’s Hospital site in Ealing
  • Services for people with complex and severe personality disorder at the Cassel Hospital in Richmond
  • High secure services at Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire

Job Title: Community Mental Health Nurse

Department: Hounslow Recovery team – Cardinal Centre

Band: B6

West London NHS Trust are excited to announce that we have recently been awarded a substantial new investment as one of the ‘early implementer’ sites for integrated community mental health services (MINT) by NHSE. The working of the Secondary Care Mental Health service will be part of the future integration with Primary care, health, social care, VCSE organisations and local communities. We want to signpost and work together with resources to support wellbeing outside of mental health services alone. These proposed changes to service delivery will result in further exciting opportunities for personal development within the Hounslow Recovery Team and wider services within the trust.

We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic nurses who are highly motivated and caring professionals, who can provide the best possible care to our service users. We welcome applications from qualified staff that have experience in care coordination or B5 nurses looking to progress to B6. As a team we are committed to develop applicant’s careers.

Are you an excellent communicator who is adaptable, committed and well organised working well under pressure. Do you have the ability to work autonomously whilst being part of a team with an integrated approach to care, with well-developed clinical skills or have a commitment to develop these skills? If so we would like to hear from you.

As a community nurse you will be required to travel between patients’ home on occasions. It is preferable that you have access to a car and a full UK Driving License however this is not essential.

 

The Recovery Team is a multidisciplinary team, comprising of mental health nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, employment specialists and support workers. The team is supported by a good administrative system and offers excellent work environment. The team has good links with local statutory and non-statutory services.

The current post is for 37.5 hours a week. The Recovery Team working hours are Mon-Friday 9am-5pm.

We currently have 1 vacancy in our Recovery team for B6 Nurses based at the Cardinal Centre in Feltham.
