Radiology Department Assistant

Monday-Friday (Thursday & Friday Mornings)

We are looking forenthusiasticRadiology Department Assistant who is interested in developing their role within the Breast service at Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are the ‘hidden-gem’ of the North-West and are at an extremely exciting phase in our development. If you want to develop new skills and knowledge this department is a perfect place for you!

Breast screening for the Warrington, Halton, St Helens and Knowsley area began in 1991 and we currently invite more than 70,000 women. The successful candidate will be actively involved with the National Breast Screening programme as well as the symptomatic service; and will be part of new developments and innovations within our department.

This role will cover all of the duties expected of a band 3 Radiology Department Assistant, including image verification, assisting with biopsies and patient care.

The successful applicant must hold a full drivers licence and have access to a car.

Previous experience is preferable. Due to the sensitive nature of the post, only female applicants will be considered.

Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
