An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Support Secretary within the ENT Department based at QMC. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Surgery Division at NUH in Nottingham.
You will be working as part of a team, providing a high quality audio typing service to Consultants and their teams.
You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player with excellent audio typing skills, good organisational and communication skills with a sound typing background. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable. You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and be able to remain calm under pressure. The ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload whilst remaining patient focused is essential.
You will be responsible for the audio typing and transcription of clinical correspondence within specified timescales. You will need to be a fast and accurate audio typist with a sound knowledge of medical terminology. You will also be able to prioritise your workload with constantly changing demands, to meet agreed deadlines. You will be able to use your own initiative and respond to queries appropriately.
In undertaking this role, the employee will be expected to behave at all times that are consistent with and actively supports the Trusts Values and Behaviours.
