An opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer to join our team to provide administrative support on the Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Emergency Care.

This is an extremely demanding role which requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to keep calm under pressure, ensuring patient information and movement is captured in real time alongside other duties.

Excellent communication skills are a must, as well as a positive attitude and a strongly held commitment to high standards of service delivery in order for our patients to have the best possible experience.

The successful candidate must be able to work a variable rota which will include days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.


The Trust offers free car parking at the Woodside Building (Woodside Building, Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2TY) if your interview is at the Main Hospital Site, which is a five-minute walk from Woodside. If you require accessible parking or any other reasonable adjustment in order to attend your interview, please contact the Recruitment Team, who will be happy to help you.

You will be asked for proof of your qualifications at the conditional offer stage of your employment. If you are unable to provide evidence the offer may be withdrawn.

New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
