We are looking for Amazing Radiographers who are interested in career progression and advanced practice.

We are the ‘hidden-gem’ of the North-West and are at an extremely exciting phase in our development. If you want to further your career, this department is a perfect place for you!

The successful candidates will gain experience working with the Cross Sectional Imaging team on our 2 CT scanners & 1.5T MRI scanner on the Warrington site.  In April, we installed the UK’s first 640 slice Canon Aquilion One PRISM CT scanner and are now a reference site for Canon. We also have a 128 slice CT scanner & 3T MRI scanner in the Cheshire and Merseyside Treatment Centre on the Halton site.

As a Radiology department, we support Radiographer Chest/Abdomen/MSK/ Nuclear Medicine reporting, Radiographer-Led CT Colonography, and Mammography & Interventional Advanced Practice.  We also support 2 Radiographers each year to travel to Chicago to RSNA to enhance the high standard of service we deliver to our patients.

All of our Band 6 CT radiographers are trained to do CT Colonography and Cardiac Imaging. Our MRI radiographers are trained in breast imaging and we will be developing our Cardiac MRI service, with the arrival of the new scanner.

Our CT out of hours cover is a resident on-call system with lucrative payments and generous rest time attached.  We do not operate an MRI on call system.  Due to the COVID backlog of cases we have lots of opportunity for voluntary overtime.

We care for our patients across three sites situated within close commuting distance from one another which provide a range of clinical experiences for our staff.

We support new staff by ensuring they are on a mentorship programme to support their transition to our Trust, ensuring that you will feel confident and competent in your role.
