This is an exciting opportunity to join the Chief Nurse team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston as an Assistant Chief Nurse. You will report to the Deputy Chief Nurse and will be accountable for and lead on a number of corporate projects and programmes of work focussed on the delivery of high quality safe patient care.

You will be the senior clinical nursing leader for Digital Services and will be instrumental in supporting the safe and efficient design, implementation and use of informatics solutions to deliver improvements in the quality and outcomes of care.

As an experienced leader, you will have a clear vision and understanding of the Transformation agenda, the opportunities for redesigning services and have knowledge of the tools and techniques for achieving service change.

The Assistant Chief Nurse will support the Heads of Nursing and Midwifery within the Divisions and lead on key aspects of the implementation and delivery of the Trust strategy, nursing and midwifery objectives and the Chief Nurse Team’s annual operating plan objectives.

This role requires extensive specialist knowledge across a range of disciplines of strategic planning, service redesign, financial management and workforce redesign, underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience at a divisional and corporate level.
