An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit into the Infection Prevention and Control Team at Velindre University NHS Trust. The role will involve:

  • working with the Infection Control Nurses to support quality improvement initiatives by undertaking audit and surveillance
  • working with Infection Control Team to reduce the incidence of Healthcare Associated Infections to meet annual targets
  • participating in the delivery of local Infection Prevention and Control training and education
  • taking part in the implementation, roll out, training and auditing of Infection Prevention and Control care bundles

We are looking for individuals who are excellent team workers but who can work without direct supervision, with guidance from senior colleagues. Applications invited from individuals with excellent communication skills, who can be flexible and adaptable to the demands of the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
