Financial Planning Assistant

Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust operates across two hospital sites providing a full range of District General Hospital Services to a population of 320,000. The Trust has a turnover of approximately £260m and an excellent track record of providing quality patient care services.

With a challenging and exciting financial and transformational agenda ahead of us the Trust is looking for a dynamic and ambitious Assistant Financial Planning Accountant to join our team.

The role will include assisting in the monitoring and reporting of activity to assess performance against SLA’s, support month end process and accurate reporting of the Trust income position. The post holder will also assist with the Trust Charity accounts.

The successful candidate will be NVQ Level 3 or part AAT qualified, or with equivalent experience in a busy finance office environment. The post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills, and will be confident with IT systems (MS Excel, MS PowerBI).

We expect candidates to be passionate, flexible and hardworking and possess good analytical skills. Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the ‘Vulnerable Adults List’, the ‘Children’s List’ and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA’s) barred lists.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
