Are you a forward thinking, dynamic, flexible, resilient nurse who is looking for a new challenge? Then this could be the job for you.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our already dynamic team in a busy Assessment Unit (CAU) we are looking to appoint a forward thinking, dynamic, resilient Band 5 registered nurse to join our team.

We receive patients from the Emergency Department, clinics and GP practices offering exposure to a diverse group of acutely unwell medical, surgical, urology and ENT patients.

The unit accepts admissions with high acuity patients therefore it is essential that the successful candidate has a good clinical knowledge is professional, diplomatic and caring as you will be challenged with the varied demands of the unit, which at times can be unpredictable. The successful candidate must have the ability to prioritise workload under pressure, whilst ensuring the values and behaviors of the trust are upheld, and patient safety and quality is at the forefront.

Urgent and Emergency Care has bespoke learning opportunities, with in-house teaching from our dedicated Practice-based Educator. Opportunities will also be given to support and develop leadership and management skills and to further develop your clinical skills.

CAU is a challenging but highly rewarding unit to work on. We have a supportive team with extensive senior nurse support, clinical Ward Managers, experienced Band 5 and 6 teams supported by Assistant Practitioners and excellent carers. We are looking for someone who thrives in a busy challenging environment. You will also possess excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
