South Tees Hospitals Maternity Services is a progressive, innovative service that facilitates over 5000 births per year on two sites.

We are constantly striving to improve our services for the women, babies and their families and the working environment for our staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant practitioner/ nursing associate (current Band 4) to join our team and undertake a midwifery conversion to become an assistant midwifery practitioner (AMP).The role is based on postnatal/transitional care settings. The post is potentially working across James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital.

Interested applicants should demonstrate the transferable skills required to effectively work alongside the midwifery team as well as:

1. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and team working
2. Evidence of involvement in service development
3. Good working knowledge of IT systems
4. Health and Social Care Practice Foundation Degree (or an equivalent qualification)
