Band 5 Staff Nurse – Squirrel Gastro Ward

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Band 5 paediatric nurse to join our team on Squirrel Gastro Ward. We are looking for nurses who are enthusiastic and well-motivated as we seek to deliver high quality care to children and young people.

Good time management and decision making skills are essential along with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team, rotating day and night shifts. The unit encourages staff to develop their leadership skills and clinical knowledge as well as promoting individual development.

Squirrel Gastro Ward is a busy ward with 10 beds, specialising in gastroenterology medicine, both acute and long term management. You will have the opportunity to learn complex fluid management, Parental Nutrition and caring for children undergoing investigations of the GI tract. We care for a mixture of long and short stay patients, catering for a diverse age range of patients from newborn to 18 years,
