About us
The Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS foundation trust is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK and amongst the largest in Europe. Rose ward is a paediatric cardiorespiratory specialist unit caring for children with a wide range of conditions including Cystic Fibrosis, congenital and acquired heart disease and asthma.

As a band 6 nurse you will be working alongside a team of dedicated Nurses, Doctors and the wider multidisciplinary team where you will learn and develop your nursing skills. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the excellent patient care, carry out specialist procedures and build working relationships with patients and families.
About you
Are you ready for an exciting new challenge and keen to increase your specialist cardiac and respiratory knowledge?
We are looking for an independent, questioning, autonomous nurse, yet with a great sense of team spirit. You need to be ready to share expertise and strive for the safest working environment. This role will encourage you to coordinate patient care, assume a supervisory role as the Nurse in Charge and ensure the smooth running of the ward.
We offer a vast variety of in-house professional development opportunities. These include specialist study days and a generous study leave package to attend university courses. Your orientation to the role will include supernumerary shifts, teaching in specialist skills and an introduction to patient and staff coordination.
