Do you have an interest in the funding of high cost drugs, and the delivery of homecare medicines?

Do you have significant experience as a Pharmacy Technician?

Would you like to work as part of a small friendly team?

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacy Technician, due to the expanding homecare service and current maternity leave in the high cost drug team. This fixed-term post will be suited to a Pharmacy Technician looking to gain a greater understanding of homecare and high cost drugs, whilst gaining experience in helping to lead a small team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely with the high cost drugs pharmacist to ensure high cost drugs, including immunoglobulins, are used appropriately and commissioning and reporting requirements are meet.
  • Ensure the Trust meets commissioner Prior approval requirements through the monitoring of the Bluteq® system
  • Work as a deputy to the homecare lead, ensuring leadership and management of the homecare team.
