Band 6 Senior Cardiac Physiologist 

The cardiac physiology department at the Royal Brompton NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking a senior cardiac physiologist to join our specialist team. The department has recently undergone a management restructure and we are now recruiting to extend our busy department. The clinical role will enable you to develop your skills in a variety of aspects of non-invasive and invasive cardiology. 

The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust is the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK. We are known throughout the world for our expertise, our standard of care and research. The Royal Brompton in Chelsea has 5 cardiac catheter labs, a busy diagnostic non-invasive cardiology department and one of the UK’s busiest CRM clinics with a large paediatric and ACHD population. 

Candidates will be rotated through all areas of Cardiac Physiology: non-invasive cardiology including cardiopulmonary exercise testing, CRM clinic and invasive cardiology inclusive of PCI, right heart catheters and valvular interventions. Candidates will be expected to participate in the on-call rota when appropriately trained. 

Candidates should hold a minimum qualification of BSc Cardiac Physiology [PTP] or MSc [STP] or an equivalent science based degree with relevant physiologist experience and registration will be considered. ILS is desired, though not essential and should be working towards appropriate registration.
