The skin cancer team at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, who is an independent prescriber and is able to perform advanced clinical assessment. The successful applicant will become a key practitioner in our world leading St John’s Dermatology department working with colleagues from the Guy’s Cancer Centre. This is a unique and exciting new post developed to lead our team of 5 cutaneous lymphoma/melanoma clinical nurse specialists & services in collaboration with clinical leads, the Matron and the wider directorate teams. They will develop the service in line with departmental, Trust & Sector priorities. They will provide expert clinical care autonomously to a high level whilst supporting training & development of relevant staff to ensure that we are delivering a world class service. Support & development opportunities for the post will be tailored to the successful applicant’s individual needs but we are particularly keen to develop our nursing service to lead the way nationally and internationally in clinical skills, research and training. The successful applicant would be encouraged to develop national and international links, speaking at conferences to promote excellence in nursing care for our patients.
