Medicines Management Technician

 

 

We are the largest provider of acute hospital services in Surrey, serving a population of more than 410,000 people in the boroughs of Runnymede, Spelthorne, Woking and parts of Elmbridge, Hounslow, Surrey Heath and beyond.

 

The Trust provides a whole range of services across its two main hospital sites in Surrey - Ashford Hospital, and St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey and supported by specialist clinics in the community.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part time Medicines Management Technician 22.5hrs (3 days a week) within our friendly department at Ashford & St Peters NHS Foundation Trust.

 

If you have the ability to work using your own initiative, have good communication skills and can provide a high quality service to our patients this is the job for you!

 

You will require great communication & interpersonal skills, as you will be working within a multi-professional environment across the Trust.

 

We are looking for an individual with a passion for customer service and team work that is able to work under pressure whilst ensuring a high level of accuracy.

 

The successful candidate will work on the wards and be part of the medicines management service with dispensary duties

 

Our department is committed to Education and Training and you will be encouraged to develop your skills in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice in our busy department and provide support to others in training.
For this role you will need to be a Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC and have substantial post qualification experience.

 

Applicants will hold a valid medicines management qualification and be an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician.
