Bolton NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008 and, in 2011, we became an integrated provider with community health services joining the trust. Covering a catchment area that also incorporates parts of Bury, Wigan and Salford, we deliver hospital and community based services from the Royal Bolton Hospital in Farnworth and from 20 health centres across Bolton, to a catchment population of 320,000 people. We have a CQC rating as good overall and we have some key areas of outstanding practice with an outstanding rating for being well led at every level.

IFM Bolton Healthcare Security Officer (Bank)

IFM Bolton is seeking to recruit individual/s into the role of bank Security Officer(s), to be part of a developing, modern organisation. IFM Bolton provides a number of services to Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, including a fully managed Security Service which is responsible for a wide variety of security related tasks both on and off-site. These will include (but not be limited to) general guarding duties, key holding, locking and unlock procedures, responding to incidents of violence & aggression, managing potentially volatile situations, monitoring and operating CCTV and when necessary assisting with the provision of car parking enforcement onsite.

Due to the diverse service demands, female applicants with previous security-related experience are actively encouraged.

It is expected the successful candidate will hold a current, clean full UK driving licence, hold a current SIA door supervisor licence or be willing to work towards achieving before employment can commence. This post will also require a DBS check to an enhanced level.

The successful applicant/s will be placed on zero-hour bank contract to provide relief to the current security workforce and be responsible for a security presence at critical entrances of the hospital.

You will be working with patients, visitors, members of the public and staff. You will need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Experience within a Healthcare Security or related field will be advantageous.

You will be expected to be of smart appearance, physically fit, highly motivated and have an approachable demeanour. You must be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of IT literacy.

This is an iFM Bolton vacancy. IFM Bolton is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust providing estates facilities and procurement services.
