We have a vacancy for a community OT and are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and dynamic band 6 qualified Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Intermediate Care Team across the East Surrey area.

Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team you will need to possess excellent clinical and communication skills in order to provide comprehensive, timely and effective intervention, to assist in reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and support hospital discharge. You will assess plan and implement care whilst promoting independence to enable patients to remain in their own home.

Experience in Community working is desirable.The team operates seven days a week and the candidate will require a flexible approach to working including some weekends and bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to drive, have a car suitable for business purposes, and a clean driving licence.


FCH&C is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults and children and expects all staff to share this commitment. FCH&C will support personal development through the annual appraisal process and in house training. An induction course is mandatory.

Successful applicants within the staff groups above will receive -

  • £1000 upon commencement (payable in your first months’ salary) then;

  • £1000 after 6 months service subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.

    Do note that repayment clauses apply - and will be provided, as required to the relevant post holders. This does not apply to internal candidates.
